About us

What defines us: who we are.

Founded in 2003 in the spirit of promoting harmony and understanding, the EIRCH strives to be a beacon of integration and collaboration in the diverse cultural and religious mosaic of the European continent.

The European Institute for Religious and Cultural Coexistence Harmony (EIRCH)
is an organization dedicated to fostering dialogue, cooperation
and peace among diverse religions and cultures in Europe.

Our history

The EIRCH was established in the framework of Article 17 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU), which introduces a legal obligation for the EU to maintain an open, transparent and regular dialogue with different faiths, religious associations, philosophical and non-confessional organizations. This legal provision underlines the importance of recognizing and respecting the identity and specific contribution of these entities in society.

Inspired by this legal basis, the EIRCH was formed from a team of experts in communication, international relations, religious affairs and European law to expand and strengthen these principles across the Union. Since its inception, we have worked tirelessly to provide platforms for dialogue and community projects that enable people of diverse faiths to connect and learn from each other. Our commitment is reflected in the many initiatives we have implemented to foster interfaith and intercultural cooperation.

Our mission

At the EIRCH, we believe that interfaith and intercultural dialogue is essential for peaceful coexistence and social stability. Our mission focuses on promoting mutual understanding, collaboration and respect among diverse religious and cultural communities.
